Meet the team

We’re incredibly lucky to have a fantastic skilled and experienced staff team here at Dringhouses Primary.

Welcome to our amazing school

Ben Sutton, Headteacher at Dringhouses Primary School

Hello, and welcome to Dringhouses Primary School.

It’s my pleasure to work with such an inspiring, friendly and dedicated set of people here – a true team.

We’re a warm, welcoming, and inclusive community, where our staff and children feel valued, looked after, and where learning is viewed as the ‘enhancement of knowledge, capabilities, values, attitudes, [and] understanding (including but going beyond the acquisition of factual knowledge).’ Coffield (2019)

We’re outward looking and we celebrate diversity – looking for representation of ourselves, and of others across our community. We always look to ensure equity of opportunity for all of our children, and see kindness as a fundamental value and attribute of our school.

Comments from our parents

  • Dringhouses Primary isn’t just a school. It’s a community of students, parents, teachers, staff who all care about the development and wellbeing of our children. It’s a place where we feel like we’re all part of something special.

  • Our children love Dringhouses School. They are learning loads and thriving. The school and teachers work hard to make learning fun. Their wonderful buddy system helps foster friendly relationships across the whole school. It’s a lovely little community.

  • My child always feels safe, and comes home happy and excited for the next day.

  • My children (Reception and Year 3) are both very happy at Dringhouses Primary School and always excited to attend. As well as the school working hard in all areas of the curriculum there have also been lots of exciting and varied opportunities for the children, eg school trips and events.

  • Mrs Clarke is absolutely wonderful! Her music curriculum is adventurous, fun and inclusive. Her Latin lessons have inspired my children beyond my belief. She is calm, fair and such a positive role model, we’re very grateful for her input.
