Application letter and information about learning an instrument

Learning to play a musical instrument is a great way to foster a love of music, have fun and learn a lifelong skill. Check out the following opportunities for children to learn lots of different instruments at Dringhouses:

Musical youths!
  • Each class has a music lesson every week!
  • Our music lead, Clare Clarke, runs choirs and orchestras across the year – curriculum concerts are really well attended and give a real purpose to the performances by these groups.
  • We have many peripatetic music teachers; brass, strings, guitars, drums, piano.
  • Rock Steady are an organisation who come into school each work and work with children from EYFS to Y6, placing them in ‘Rock Bands’ together, performing gigs for the rest of the school!
