We, at Dringhouses Primary School, aim to provide a happy and secure learning environment for all our pupils. We recognise every child as an individual of great value. We believe that a rich, demanding, creative curriculum is key to motivation and the growth of pupils’ self esteem and enjoyment and their success as learners.
The National Curriculum provides an outline of core knowledge around which teachers develop exciting and stimulating lessons to promote the development of pupils’ knowledge, understanding and skills. We believe the personal and social development of our children is of utmost importance.
To promote this we engage them in activities which relate to understanding of, and respect for, our school community, the wider social community and other cultures. We implement detailed and structured policies regarding positive behaviour and anti-bullying strategies.
